Fitness level : 14 days cycling, average 85km/day (longest ride 160+km but this is mostly downhill), 100% vehicle support although the vehicle cannot follow the group on some short sections.
The altitude should not be underestimated and presents a considerable challenge. Some of the riding will be above 5000m and there will also be some long climbs (up to 25km). However, the trip is vehicle supported (except while riding the short distance to and from the Everest base camp) so there is always the option to enjoy the scenery from the bus! A good level of fitness is definitely required.
