For many travellers, Morocco is a dreamy escape into a world of kasbahs and imperial cities. Dig a little deeper and discover the local way of life, where meals are shared and cherished and the landscape evolves from dramatic craggy valleys to the winding streets of ancient medinas.
Day 1 - Casablanca
Morocco’s biggest city is the perfect place to start your journey. You will be greeted by your tour leader and transferred to your hotel. Sample your first mint tea of the trip and perhaps enjoy a hammam at the hotel before a group dinner at Rick’s Café.
Day 2 - Meknes ~ Fes
Gaze up at Morocco’s largest mosque, the Hassan II Mosque and explore Casablanca. Depart for Fes, stopping at Meknes along the way to wander the markets and sample olives, wine and mint tea.
Day 3 - Fes
Explore medieval Fes, including the tanneries and Royal Palace of Fes. Stop for lunch at the medina before spending the rest of the day at leisure. Your tour leader will be on hand to offer suggestions or you can make your own discoveries.
Day 4 - Volubilis
Tour the medina with a local chef, gathering ingredients for a cooking class. Dine on the fruits of your labour and savour the flavours of Morocco. This afternoon visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. At the height of the city’s power it was estimated

Day 5 - Marrakech
Drive to Marrakech and check into your refurbished 19th century hotel. You’ll feel refreshed and rejuvenated after a visit to a traditional hammam. Spend your evening wandering through the healers, snake charmers, astrologers and acrobats of Djemaa el Fna.
Day 6 - Marrakech
Immerse yourself in Marrakech with a tour of the souq, Bahia Palace and The Maison de la Photographie de Marrakech, a photography museum housing original photographs taken in Morocco between 1870 and 1950. The afternoon is yours before dinner at Al

Day 7 - Marrakech
This morning go on a horse-drawn carriage ride to the Majorelle gardens. Dinner tonight is at Le Foundouk.
Day 8 - Ourika Valley
Depart for Ourika Valley, the gateway to the Atlas Mountains and your home for the next two nights. The day is free to make your own discoveries. Visit nearby waterfalls or simply unwind by the swimming pool and enjoy your surroundings.
Day 9 - Ourika Valley
Hunt for souvenirs at the Monday Market in Tnine Ourika and set off on an afternoon trek with a local mountain guide. Pass through Berber villages and olive groves before a picnic lunch and tea with a local Berber family.
Day 10 - Marrakech
Your tour ends after breakfast this morning with a transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
