Today continue your exploration of Helsinki. Pop in for some fun at the Jääpuisto Ice Park next to the Helsinki Railway Station and take the 15 minute ferry trip to Suomenlinna. During the cold winter months, the trip through the ice-covered waters is a unique experience and offers magnificent views of Helsinki and the surroundings from the sea.

The train will arrive in Rovaniemi around 10h00. Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, is an urban oasis amidst the Arctic wilderness, where culture, wild activities and fairytales come together. Rovaniemi is situated on The Arctic Circle, the imaginary line located at 66 32’ ‘35’’ and is the capital of Finnish Lapland and the official hometown of Santa Claus. Rovaniemi provides modern services and lots of activities year round.
Christmas magic can be experienced year round in places like Santa Claus Village and SantaPark. As the capital of Lapland, Rovaniemi is home to Lapland’s Provincial Museum Arktikum, the forest-themed Pilke Science Centre and the Korundi House of Culture.
